TCI is a comprehensive four-day training designed to equip staff with effective de-escalation and behavior support techniques. This training focuses on creating trauma-sensitive environments where children and adults feel safe and supported. Staff learn proactive strategies to prevent or reduce the escalation of challenging behaviors, respond to crisis situations in a calm and therapeutic manner, and, when necessary, use physical interventions that prioritize safety and minimize risk. The training also emphasizes processing crisis events with children afterward to strengthen coping skills and promote long-term emotional growth 

We provide on-site support to our aides that is tailored to each student’s unique needs. Our team uses a variety of motivational tools and evidence-based strategies—such as behavior contracts, earning programs, social stories, sensory integration tools, de-escalation modeling, and data collection—to promote student success, engagement, and emotional regulation in the school setting. 

An unstructured, supportive, and confidential environment for our staff. Our chats offer staff the ability to ask for peer support in a safe and confidential environment which can help to bolster an employee's longevity in the job and in the field.

To maintain TCI certification, staff are required to attend an annual one-day recertification workshop annually. This essential workshop not only reinforces proactive skills but also ensures that participants continue to deepen their understanding of TCI principles. 

Our trainer offers continuous monthly support to staff, ensuring they effectively track student goals and uphold the requirements of each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). This collaborative approach is crucial for empowering our staff to assist students in achieving their individual goals while maintaining accountability in our educational practices.

We host monthly workshops that cover a range of valuable topics, including strength-based language, fostering independence, effective taping out techniques, and behavior support strategies. These sessions provide our staff with the tools and knowledge they need to better support our students and enhance their overall learning experience.
